The vibrant colors and detail of this classic image have been painstakingly brought back to life to preserve a great piece of history.

The high-resolution image is printed on heavy archival photo paper, on a large-format, professional giclée process printer. The poster is shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, and is ready for framing.

The 13"x19" format is an excellent image size that looks great as a stand-alone piece of art, or as a grouped visual statement. These posters require no cutting, trimming, or custom framing, and a wide variety of these frames are readily available at your local craft or hobby retailer, and online.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS HISTORY

The Washington Redskins, now the Commanders, have a rich NFL history starting as the Boston Braves in 1932. The team moved to D.C. in 1937, winning two pre-Super Bowl titles, then three Super Bowls (XVII, XXII, XXVI) under Coach Joe Gibbs in the 1980s and 90s. The team featured legends like Sammy Baugh, John Riggins, and Darrell Green.

The Team had early success in D.C. (1937-1945), and won a second championship in 1942, establishing dominance early on.

The 1955 Washington Redskins, coached by Joe Kuharich, missed the playoffs after finishing the NFL regular season in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference with a 8-4 record. The Redskins played at Griffith Stadium stood in Washington, D.C., from 1911 to 1965, between Georgia Avenue and 5th Street (left field), and between W Street and Florida Avenue NW.

Under Coach Joe Gibbs (1980s-1990s), the team won Super Bowls XVII (1983), XXII (1988), and XXVI (1992), becoming a powerhouse.

The Redskins faced criticism over the team’s name, which led to its retirement after the 2019 season. They became the "Football Team" in 2020-2021 and finally the "Commanders" in 2022.
