Indian Dunes was a legendary 600-acre motorcycle recreation park in Valencia, California, operating from 1970 to 1985. Located along Highway 126 and owned by Newhall Land & Farming Company, it was a premier SoCal motocross venue featuring Shadow Glen and International tracks. The venue attracted famous riders like Steve McQueen before closing to return the land to agriculture and later, filming.
 
Indian Dunes opened in 1970, and it became the first legal off-road family motor recreation park in Los Angeles County. It was situated near Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, nestled along the Santa Clara River. The park provided a mix of sand, trails, and hills. It offered multiple tracks, including the popular "Shadow Glen" (known for its oak trees), the "International" track, a mini-cycle track, a flat track/speedway, and over 450 acres of trails and sand washes. It was a hub for Southern California motocross culture, frequently hosting weekly races and attracting high-profile celebrity riders.
 
The park closed in February 1985 due to safety concerns and declining interest, marking the end of a major legal riding area in the region. After its closure as a motorcycle park, the site was used as a film ranch, serving as a backdrop for numerous TV shows and movies, including Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Django Unchained, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
