This beautiful reproduction poster has been re-mastered from a 1969 Snowbug snowmobile advertising brochure. The brochure advertised the Snowbug in three models; the Snowbug, Superbug, and Luvbug.

The vibrant colors and detail of this classic image have been painstakingly brought back to life to preserve a great piece of history.

The high-resolution image is printed on heavy archival photo paper, on a large-format, professional giclée process printer. The poster is shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, and is ready for framing.

The 13"x19" format is an excellent image size that looks great as a stand-alone piece of art, or as a grouped visual statement. These posters require no cutting, trimming, or custom framing, and a wide variety of these frames are readily available at your local craft or hobby retailer, and online.

A great vintage print for your home, shop, or business!

HISTORY OF SNOWBUG SNOWMOBILES

The Snowbug line of snowmobiles was conceived by Howard Schraeder, and the first prototype was developed and tested in 1957 in Sudbury, Ontario Canada. The hand-built prototype began testing a year before the first Bombardier snow machine was patented, placing Schraeder at the forefront of the snowmobile industry.

Lacking the necessary capital for mass production, Schraeder formed an agreement with Jim Nemis, owner of Noront Steel, and the first 8 Snowbugs rolled off the line in 1958.

The Snowbug was an immediate success, and it was used by the Canadian Army, prospectors, trappers, and hunters. The machine was primarily known as a workhorse, but it also won many race competitions against other snowmobiles. Approximately 300-500 Snowbugs were produced annually between 1967 and 1977 when production ceased.
