This beautiful reproduction poster has been re-mastered from an original 1960 Royal Nepal Airlines brochure describing their Daily Mountain Flight around the Eastern Himalaya Mountain Range. On this tour, the passengers could view Mt. Everest, the highest mountain peak in the world. The profile of Mt. Everest is seen below the airplane.

The vibrant colors and detail of this classic image have been painstakingly brought back to life to preserve a great piece of history.

The high-resolution image is printed on heavy archival photo paper, on a large-format, professional giclée process printer. The poster is shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, and is ready for framing.

The 13"x19" and 24”x36” formats are excellent image sizes that look great as a stand-alone piece of art, or grouped as a visual statement. These posters require no cutting, trimming, or custom framing, and a wide variety of these frames are readily available at your local craft or hobby retailer, and online. The 24”x36” posters have a 1” white border.

A great vintage print for your home, shop, or business!

TEXT FROM THE RNAC “MOUNTAIN FLIGHT” BROCHURE

R.N.A.C.'s daily “Mountain flight" allows you to enjoy a unique experience indeed: to admire the breathtaking range of the eastern HIMALAYA from a distance of less than 14 miles, while comfortably seated on board of this pressurized aircraft.

The flight will take approximately one hour.

On the onward leg of the journey (eastbound), the mountain range will of course unfurl itself on the left side of the plane. But on the return trip (westbound), it will be, at the same distance and perfectly clear again, visible to the passengers seated on the right

side. Thus, all seats being equally good," we would request you, for safety reasons, not to move from one side to the other during the flight.

Subject to favourable weather conditions and once the plane will have reached its cruising altitude (approx. 20,000 feet), our Captain may invite all passengers to move forward to the cockpit, but, please, only two passengers· at a time, complying with the indications given by our hostess. The "profile" of the Himalaya range which we have sketched on this folder will enable you to identify most of the peaks, and, in particular, the usually black, pyramid-shaped rock of MOUNT EVEREST, the highest point of the world (29,028 ft.).

Other well-known summits, such as KANCHENJUNGA located in the extreme east, ANNAPURNA and DHAULAGIR I in the extreme west, can only be seen when visibility is exceptionally good, the former on the onward leg of the journey, the latter on the return. R.N.A.C. hopes you will enjoy this flight and that it will remain one of your most precious souvenirs of your stay in NEPAL.
